My name is Omar, and I’m the founder of ChewyPuff Cookie, a small-batch cookie brand based in Ottawa. Originally from Yemen, I grew up in Saudi Arabia and came to Canada as a refugee. Baking started as a personal coping outlet during a difficult time with my mental health, and it gradually turned into a passion-driven business. ChewyPuff reflects my journey—each cookie is thoughtfully crafted to bring comfort, connection, and joy.
